A Ruined Farmhouse

I was given one of the Warlord ruined farmhouse kits awhile ago. I finally built it and when I was done found it kind of lacking. Its a good kit just kind of small and needs some details and loving to get it into a useful piece.

All in all Im pretty satisfied with the final piece. Its useful and fairly generic enough to be used in a few different periods. I have some more fields in work to go with it that I hope to finish up here soon.

Cant see the forest for the trees...

Every battlefield can use some trees. I got tired of considering 3-5 trees as a section of woods on the table and decided to do something about it.

I have finished flocking and painting the trees that I have built up (with many more to go). I plan to try and finish texturing/ flocking the bases this weekend. When they are done I will take some better pics.

There is about 200 hundred odd trees ranging from 2 1/2 inch to 9 inch tall. The plan is to make enough trees to make a heavily forested table approx. 4' x 8'.

First posting and a quick introduction

  I'm starting this blog to help keep my focus and direction after a long hiatus from the hobby due to real life and all the distractions and bullshit that it seems to present. Yeah I know its a typical excuse but it is what it is.

 

  After some thought I have streamlined my hobby interests and decided to limit this blog to my World War II (and maybe a some interwar if I get the itch) related gaming and projects. Currently I've gone back to 28mm and over the next few days will begin to start posting some further ramblings and pics of my work but for now just....
